Wayne P. Lammers is a Japanese-to-English translator working out of Portland, OR, focusing mainly on literary and cultural materials. Born in Ohio and raised in Japan, he has been bilingual since childhood. His native understanding of the language, along with his broad, on-the-ground experience and advanced doctoral work in Japanese Literature, give him a rare combination of resources to draw on in breaking through barriers of both language and culture.
